Johannes Breuer

Johannes Breuer is a research associate at the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where he works as an UX designer in the digital health project dotbase. He is a PhD candidate at Bauhaus University Weimar, where he also teaches design theory. As a design researcher, he has gained professional experience at the Center for Responsible Research and Innovation at Fraunhofer IAO, as well as a designer in the communication department of Fraunhofer IMW, in commercial management at Deutsche Telekom, and at various agencies. He completed his undergraduate studies in communication design at MSD (B.A. 2015) and at Pforzheim University (M.A. 2017). His current research and practice focuses on the participatory development of digital medical care systems and visualisation of body data. To date, he has worked on various digital health research projects, repeatedly at the Charité Berlin and currently in his doctoral project, which is being developed in cooperation with the University Hospital Jena. Johannes Breuer is academically and scientifically active as a co-editor of the book series Atlas of Data Bodies (Transcript Publishing), in addition to various national and international publications.
